WHAT I MADE HEATHER FOR HER birthday
At least one of you probably read on Twitter that I was making something for Heather for her birthday, which was last month. (March 15 -Â mark your calendars.)
Here it is, a hold with vintage Vespa scooters on it.
The pattern is from a book called Making Handbags: Retro, elegant and luxurious Designs
The sample executions of the patterns in the book are a bit dated, but the shapes are pretty helpful practice for a beginner sewer.
And what did we do to celebrate? Heather and (Rookie Dad) Alec rented a karaoke room at a Korean karaoke joint in Oakland. ten grown men and women poured Jack Daniels into Coke cans (it is a dry establishment) and sang our hearts out. very fun.
